Let it Snow!

We've been getting quite a bit of snow in the valley recently. In fact, we had about 5 inches at our house:

and around 10 up at Traci's parents on the hill:

It's been fun to take Emma out in it, even though she wasn't as thrilled with it as we had hoped. We spent a couple hours after work the other day sledding down the hill in Traci's parents' backyard and building a snowman - Emma was over it after the first 5 minutes. I don't think that she liked the sledding part of it all, as she would scream (not a happy scream) when anyone would come down the hill. We got her calmed down just long enough to snap this pic.

We were also able to drive down to Mt. Shasta in California yesterday and spend the day out on the slopes.
It was the first time that I had ever been snowboarding and I had a blast! Traci wasn't too excited about the idea because it means that now I have to buy one :) Traci rented some blades and found out that she's a pro on them:

Till next time...

yeah, i don't blame emma either for not liking the snow... i told kasey yesterday that if i found something to do in the snow that i like, i might enjoy utah 6 months out of the year... maybe i'll start boarding again too... thanks for the good idea!

Hi Mark and Traci. I really enjoyed your blog!! Maybe Emma is a summer baby? The snow looked beautiful... wish we could've been there to share it with you.
The pics of UK brought back precious memories that'll keep me happy for many years :) xx
