Overall, our trip to California was a success; however, we did have a couple hiccups... We drove down last Wednesday and noticed on the way that Emma was starting to get a little sick. She seemed to be OK the next day, but that night she was struggling to breathe. We ended up taking her to the hospital were the doc told us she had bronchiolitis :( We had originally planned on going to Disneyland on Friday, so had to cancel which was kind of unfortunate because Traci's parents had driven down from Oregon the Thursday just to spend time with the kids at D-land. Fortunately, Emma recovered enough by Saturday to go. If you don't know this already, our Emma can be a little sensative - with that said, after entering the park, the first Disney character Emma saw was creepy Cruella Deville, this was not a good start to her day.

Next we watched a loud band which made Emma want to go back to the car.

Luckily, after rides on the carousel and the flying Dumbo ride in Fantasyland, she began to get the hang of it. She ended up having a blast and really enjoying the day! We took her on the teacups, a train ride, i't a small world, and even a rollercoaster!

That night, Jack also started to have trouble breathing. He ended up seeing the doc too - also bronchiolitis :( He was well enough to travel by Monday, so we spent the day making our way back to Provo. It's a good thing that he got better so quickly because it was his birthday on Tuesday. Traci went all out and put together a pirate-themed party for him, complete with pirate games, decorations, and a pirate ship cake.

Wow Traci. That is quite the cake! That's too bad both kids got sick on the vacation! I'm glad you were still able to go to Disneyland!
