Happy Thanksgiving!
break from our lives’ routines. Jim, Justin and I were able to get a round of golf in, something that we haven’t done together in a while; while Traci, Kim and Debi woke up early Friday morning to get to the stores for all the Thanksgiving deals, (I’ll let Traci fill you in on those details in her blog).

Well, Christmas is just around the corner, and so is our Spires family reunion (the reunion being the blogworthy changes I eluded to in the opening paragraph). We are so excited to spend this season with the entire Spires family in England. It’ll be the first time we’ve been together for about 7/8 years now. We leave in just under 2 weeks and can hardly wait. We have a ton of exciting excursions planned including a trip to Scotland, a week in a Welsh cottage, and maybe even a day in London. Emma will actually be having her first birthday over there in just a few weeks. Recently she has been making leaps and bounds in her attempts to be mobile. She’s been crawling for about a month now and has been getting herself into as much as possible. She’s at that stage of her life where she’s absorbing everything like a sponge – it’s exciting to watch her observe people and things, and learn from them.
I think that’s all I have time for right now. However, we are going to make a concerted effort to overcome this blog neglect that has come over us in recent months. Maybe we’ll even post a few updates while we are away this Christmas.
Till then …
