An Eventful Week
Well, it's been another long, busy week full of work (way too much!), Trivial Pursuit, Boatnik, fence erecting, bargain garage sale shopping, more Trivial Pursuit, tree chopping, and of course, as always Emma!
Work: From 7:30am till, at the earliest 8pm every day! Hopefully that's going to change soon 'cause i don't know how much more of this I can take.
Trivial Pursuit: We have recently purchased two (three after our recent garage sale-ing) editions of Trivial Pursuit and have been addicted to them every night this week. Traci's up 2 - 0!
Boatnik: Every Memorial Day Grants Pass (a town just north of us) puts on an event they call Boatnik. It includes a carnival, drag boat racing, fireworks, and plenty more. We were lucky enough to meet up with our friends Aaron and Brynn Andrus and watch the events from their grandmother's house right on the river - thanks again guys!
Fence erecting: Jim and Debi are putting up a fence around their backyard and we spent some of today helping.
Bargain garage sale shopping: The subdivision above Jim and Debi
have an annual mammoth garage sale extravaganza - Traci's idea of heaven! So we spent the morning walking up and down the streets hunting for the best deals on whatever we could find. Some of our bargains include a high chair for Emma (probably our greatest deal!), a Radio Flyer tricycle for Emma's future enjoyment, and a really cool vase for only 25c! - still can't get over that one!More Trivial Pursuit: Yup, it's been going on all week.
Tree chopping: We got board with putting up the fence, so we turned our efforts to pulling down the two dead trees that have been taking up space in the Eagar's front yard - TIMBER!
Emma: Our favorite part of every week by far! She's grown up so much just over these past few days. Her little personality is coming out more and more and we are liking what we are seeing!
Her crib arrived on Wednesday and not a day too soon. Poor little girl has been stuck in her bassinet for five and a half months now - she can't even stretch when she wakes up in the morning. Now that's all a thing of the past - she's sleeping in ultimate luxury with plenty of room to spare. She's a really happy little girl and we love her.
Till next time...

Mark, I love the way you write. Elegant and simple. That's the way to be. I feel like I just ramble on so I could learn a thing or two from you! Great finds at the garage sales, and those cool people you met up with at Boatnik seem really cool! You're lucky to know them! :) And we're lucky to know you too!
I would love it if you kept the family blog idea alive long enough for the rest of us slow pokes to get in the groove and to get past some time consumming events (Regional Youth Celebration). I love that little Emma too. Thanks for sharing the pictures and fun.
Don't worry Debi, we're going to keep the blog going, we're just not making it open for family to post anything. You can still post comments on our posts, just not make your own. Hopefully more of the family starts checking the blog and contributing by making comments, then we will see that there is an interest and open it up for everyone to post and keep us updated on their lives.
Thanks for the comments :)
I think your blog is GREAT!
I'm sorry that I'm not into the blogging thing. But it is a brilliant idea and maybe I can give it a bash again :))))I really want to!
Thanks for sharing your lives with us ~ please keep the blogs coming.
We love you Mom and Dad
We also love reading your blog! Things are pretty hectic for us though so unfortunately we're not able to contribute to a family blog too often, but we really enjoy knowing how you guys are doing and seeing so many gorgeous pic's of Emma. Hopefully things will settle down a bit so we can give this blogging thing a go too :) We love you guys.
Thanks for all your comments. It's really encouraging to see the increased interest. Hopefully we can open the blog up soon so that all the family can post.
