Finally - we're blogging!!
Our first blogg! I hope it's worth the wait Mark?!
It's great to be able to keep in touch this way with loved ones. I have so enjoyed looking at the recent pictures of dear little Emma. What a gorgeous and precious baby! She has grown so much in a few short weeks.
The one picture is of Geoff and me on Christmas night. We spent Christmas day in Windhoek. Our trip to Namibia was so interesting. It is a country that I have wanted to see for so long and I wasn't disappointed. The landscape in places has a feeling of timelessness and looks ancient. This is a pic of Adam at the Fish River Canyon - apparently second only to the Grand canyon for size etc. Geoff and Adam are standing at the start of the 3 - 5 day hike at the Fish River canyon.
Etosha was magic. The sky was huge with parts of it bright blue and other parts dark and grey with patches of rain falling like curtains in the distance. It was beautiful.
Geoff is sitting outside our bungalow at Etosha. We were close to the waterhole where rhino, elephant and other game wandered down for a drink. Again, a feeling of timelessness that I have only felt in Africa.
